Adopting from Beauty and the Beast Shih Tzu
Adopting from us is not as simple as buying the "puppy in the window" at a pet store or being the highest bidder. We try to chose the best situation for each one of our babies based on the new families lifestyle and the temperament and approximate size of each of our babies. While we love to see our babies go to homes with children, occasionally we will have a puppy that is just to small to go to a home with young children. So we will not place our teeny tiny puppies into homes with young children, as we feel it is not fair to either your child our are babies. We will not place teeny tiny females into breeding homes either. We believe these tiny princesses deserve to be spoiled rotten lap babies and that God has created them for this reason.
Please allow us to spend more time with our babies and adults by providing us with the following information when you email or call:
* your name and contact number
* please tell us about the family members and pets of your household
* specify what type of Shih Tzu you are interested in (female/ male, pet/ breeder/show home, what approximate size and color are you searching for?
* what experience, (if any) have you had with Shih Tzu? Any questions about the breed we can answer?
Please note: On occasion we will sell a puppy as a breeding prospect or a show prospect to breeders who I feel share a similar commitment to the breed and breeding ethics. I do not want my babies passed from breeder to breeder and absolutely no babies will be sold to kennels. If you are a breeder please be prepared to provide references and "interview" on the phone- we only want our babies in small home based breeding homes! Pet homes are always preferred. Not all puppies will be available to breeding homes. Some will be placed as pet only and others will be placed in a show home/pet home only. Thank you!

* How will your new puppy come home to you? Shipping generally costs $280.00, we also offer low cost delivery and in person pick up in either our Roseville or San Jose location. Both of our locations are located within 5 minutes of the freeway. All puppies which will be delivered or driven more than 5 hours away will be be required to have a fecal test to examine them for internal parasites. The cost of our shipping INCLUDES this expense. When we quote you a delivery charge we will also include this charge. Delivery/ shipping charges must be paid before the puppy is 8 weeks old so this may be performed. All puppy families will have the option of paying for the fecal exam which will add $20.00 to their purchase price
Deposit
To hold your baby we require a deposit, which is to be received within 5 days of you choosing your baby. When we have received your deposit, ( and it has cleared the bank) we place"Sold/adopted" next to your puppy. If we do not receive your deposit within five days we will place the puppy back up for adoption. When you are sending your deposit please include the following form. If you are paying with Pay Pal please print, scan and email back. Thank you!
We want you to know that when you purchase a baby from us we will consider you part of our extended family. We look forward to pictures, updates and even playdates with some of our past puppies. Weather you are showing yours or struggling to make your first topknot we will forever cheer you on. We are willing to answer any question or concern you may have so please feel free to email or call- anytime! We will always offer you a 15% discount on a second puppy purchased from us. Got a friend? Refer a friend and we will give them a 5 % discount as well. It is our sincere desire to place our babies in their lifetime home, but should that ever change we ask you to return the puppy to us so we can help you find a new home that will love and spoil your baby. we do not want any of our babies ever ending up in a humane society or rescue situation. We feel if more breeders stood up for their babies that we could make a big impact on the number of puppies who end up in shelters.
Shipping and Delivery
We offer both shipping and delivery of your new baby. We do not meet "part of the way" if driving unless we can meet at a secure location such as a private residence. The reason for this is that we typically spend 20 minutes+ with the new puppies family when delivering. During this time the puppy typically explores your home and meets your family. We do not meet in public places because of the exposure to germs and we will not drop your puppy off to a waiting car on the side of the road. We would love for you to see our clean home and meet the puppies parents and siblings whenever possible. we offer the following ways for your puppy to come home to you.
In Person Pick UP: In person pick up is available in either Roseville, CA or in San Jose CA. To date all males live in Roseville and most puppies will be raised in Roseville simply because we have more space and time. However you can pick your puppy up at either location for no additional charge. Both locations are within 5 minutes of the freeway and also centrally located to pet stores, gas station ect. Please note: If you bring your dog along it must wait in the car for the safety of our babies. Thank you for your understanding!
Delivery (by car): We will deliver your puppy to you at a minimal extra charge which will be determined by your location. If the puppy is being delivered more than 5 hours away from our home it must have a fecal test, which will be an extra $20.00 added to your delivery charge. We will deliver anywhere in CA as well as some of Nevada and Oregon. We typically leave very early in the morning or late at night to make the trip as comfortable as possible. The price of the trip will be based on gas, food and possibly hotel. We would be happy to combine delivery charges for more than one puppy if we have multiple puppies going to the same home or puppies heading to the same general area. Please call or email for a price quote if delivery is needed, it is typically significantly cheaper than shipping by air.
Shipping (by air) Our puppies must be a minimum of ten weeks old and 2.25 pounds in order to ship by air. Most airlines require a 2 pound minimum to ship and typically our ten week (or older) puppies will be over our minimum shipping weight. The shipping typically cost about $280.00 depending on where you live. If we can do it cheaper we will give you the difference, we do not make money on shipping. Our shipping price includes: crate, airline ticket, additional health exam with veterinarian's health certificate, water bottle( for the outside of the crate-nothing worse than getting a wet puppy) and a fecal exam. We always use the fastest and best accommodations for your puppy. We reserve the right to decide when your baby is ready to ship and please be advised that inclement weather and flight delays are beyond our control. We will be standing by waiting for your new baby to arrive safe to you and will wait for your call- day or night!
